Writing a Book Review can Really Improve our Writing Skill: My Book Review of “My Comeback Trail” by Manish Kumar

My Comeback Trail

I think everyone should write book reviews just after they finish it whether online or in a notebook. Not later as we might forget most of the part of it.

There are several reasons for that:

First, you get a writing habit that is going to improve with every book.

Second,  summarizing the whole story in a few hundred words gives you a skill that is very helpful in writing something with a limitation of words.

I am going to write about the book that I recently finished: My Comeback Trail.

The book is written by (retired) Squadron Leader Manish Kumar. I got connected with him when he published his first book “Be your own pilot”. After reading that book I realized that I had not given my 100% to some of the opportunities I missed or lost in my life. But his second book is completely different.

It tells the story of his struggles at work and family life, and then how he bounced back from that situation to write an inspirational book.

Only after reading his second book, I realized what he was going through when he wrote his first book and how the death of his father broke him down. And still, he mustered all his courage to bring this book to us all.

Little I knew about the armed forces and the politics there before reading the book. The story will tell you that good and bad people are everywhere. This also tells you how it is difficult to do something you love. You might lose your loved ones in doing so.

The story is a lot about how a rumor can destroy your relationship if you prefer the rumor to be true than talking to your partner.

This might be my understanding of the story and everyone has their views and opinions.

The book gives you a reason to continue your life, to release someone from your life and you from their life, for good.

This book gives you an example of indomitable strength that the author had to fight numerous injections like Haloperidol (sorry if I wrote the wrong injection), had to stay away from his only kid, and people’s reactions afterward.

The book gives you an example of how you should also continue your journey despite your heartbreaks, poor physical and mental health, disturbed or limited career opportunities, and how to come back stronger.

The author has listed many books that can help you in getting mental peace, helps in understand psychology, read people’s mind, and serve many more purposes.

The author has written spiritually about some of the religious inferences from different religions but also suggested some proven methods that helped him heal mentally and come back stronger.

The best thing I love about the message from the author in the epilogue is when he said that the story is not to prove anyone wrong and himself right.

In our life, we always try to prove others wrong and ourselves right. We should learn to forgive (not forget) and dare to move on without any judgmental attitude toward anyone.

I want to gift ten books to people in my circle who need this book the most, as my admiration for the book and author. You can also buy from the link below:

Hello. This post couldn’t be written any better! Reading this post reminds me of my previous room mate. He always kept chatting about this. I will forward this page to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing.
